Update regarding Macs with Touch Bar Unfortunately the F8 fnF8 solution is not working on MacBooks with a digital Touch Bar, running macOS 10. In my case this caused the macOS mouse cursor to disappear in fullscreen video playback. The Doomlaser app is not new, it has been working since mid-2007. Theres a little app that gives you control over showinghiding the macOS mouse cursor named Cursorcerer.
